Is it possible to change the current UI to the old UI?

Can someone answer this question? I am curious too. I don't like the fact that gala devs decided to change the function keys so that you need to hold down ctrl or alt key just to use another set of functions. The old style was much more versatile, and thats the main reason i quit efail and stayed on a pserver until they closed it recently.
