Hello,
To begin with, let me introduce myself. My name is Valentin, 25 years old male from France. I work in a recording studio as a sound-engineer and in a kitchen as a 2nd job (thanks to Covid, I nearly have to close my studio...). I enjoy playing music and developping on my free time.
I am making this application for several reasons. The first one is the dedication I have for the server. Even though I re-registered a short while ago, I used to play here back in 2014. I remember there was a server wipe back then and enjoyed grinding to get back some gear... The reason why I did quit is that I was moving to my first own floor and it basically didn't go that well, I had other priorities than videogames. I saw a Facebook post about flyff and made me think about the good ol' time in Insanity and downloaded the game again. I invested some money in the game as I plan to stay for some time.
In every place I have been, I always had to propose my help either as a member of moderation teams, deving or managing communities, I have quiet a long experience.
My experience :
2011 - 2014 : Co-Founder and developper of Wolfenstein Enemy Territory servers, "ETernal Clan" (200 - 300 active players at peaks).
2015 - 2017 : Administrator and in lead of an event team in a french Warframe guild (80 - 100 members)
2018 - 2019 : Administrator of a GTA V RolePlay server, "Sunny Island" (used to be the 2nd biggest french server, 150 players at peaks, 1 000 members)
2020 - today : Founder and main developper of a GTA V RolePlay server, "Radiant City" (50 players at peaks, 200 members)
My knowledge :
All these experiences have taught me a couple of things. To begin with, the same way with work and personnal life, I learnt to divide myself into 2 persons : myself like I am everyday and the game / server administrator. As an admin or staff member more generally, I learnt to remain calm and neutral in any situations, no matter the concerns or the person(s) I am dealing with. For exemple, in GTA 5 RolePlay servers, you have to follow specific rules, strict rules because the game itself can let you perform some actions that could not be done in real life, as an exemple. This is going very far with the source of the knowledge of your character, you can't take into consideration what you read out of the game. This all leads to some tricky situations where you have to judge scenes. The decision you take always has big impact in the game that's why I made up a process :
- Meet and discuss with each party separetely to know what happened and what they want
- Gather proofs from each side
- Confrontation between both sides
- Staff decision
Dev :
I did 2 years of dev in school but learnt most of what I know today on my own. PHP with objects following an index, controller, view structure for websites, interacting with databases via SQL code or GUI as well. For games, the most advanced stuff I am working at is GTA 5 servers via FiveM using esx structure. All the code is in LUA. I am able to create scripts from scratch and deal with game natives and libraries.
About a potential schedule, I am available from 2:30pm to 5:30pm GMT+1 monday to saturday and sometimes in the evening, after 11:30pm to 02-03am. I know how to use Discord, vBulletin. I have a decent microphone to talk. I am good at reading english, I can write aswell even though I make mistakes, and vocal chat is ok.
Why you should hire me ?
I have a rather large experience with communities and I am dedicated to my work. I am a loyal and stable person. I can deal with troublemakers or any kind of problems without losing patience and stay neutral in any situation. I can work in a team, stick to my tasks and provide detailed reports of my work. I am not hunting for powers and permissions in game / forums / Discord or any visibility neither I am a "fame hunter", I want to help the way I can depending on the needs your team.
I am aware that I have not rejoined Insanity a long time ago but as I said I plan to stay here for quiet some time. My knowledge about the game is vast, I know pretty much everything about the game, and a large part of addons available exclusively on Insanity, I start to be familiar with the economy as well.
