Upgrades 101: What sets apart Upgrading in Insanity flyff from other MMO Games?
-The main purpose of upgrading is to improve one's equipment, here in Insanity flyff we took a step further!

So what are these upgrades?

[Global Upgrading]

In Insanity flyff the [Global Upgrading] system is an all-in-one upgrade system that does all the upgrades when registered with the right reagent/material.

There are also different types of [Upgrade Specialist] NPC's scattered across the map but they all share the same feature/system.

Weapon Upgrade Potentials

Note:All weapons/items can be pierced or elementally upgraded and awakened and crafted,
but there are certain limits to items or rather their potential.

Crystal = Crystal Transformation Stone + Crystal Enhance Scroll + Crystal Enhance Success Scroll

firstly you would need to have set part of +10 or a weapon +20 baruna for you to be able to transform it into a Crystal weapon using Crystal Transformation Stones



then use Crystal Enhance Scrolls for upgrading and Crystal Enhance Success Scrolls for added success chances

[Elemental Attribute Upgrade
- Weapon Elemental Glows]

[Elemental Weakness]

Elemental Upgrading

[Global Upgrade NPC]
To upgrade your weapon to your desired elemental stat you would need Elemental Cards

[Elemental Cards]

[Elemental Changer]
a +10 above item and +20 elemental upgrade will show the more pronounced glow of the item element,
you can also change your desired element with a Scroll of Element Change (available thru RedChip NPC or ItemMall)

[Weapon Glow]

Fire	Water	Electric	Wind	Earth

Note
Elemental Attribute is a Physical Weapon Damage Trait,
Magical Skills that uses Neutral Elements such as 3rd Job Skills Classes like [Staffs], [Wands] and [Sticks]
Will reduce your overall magical damage by -20%

[Elemental Attribute Upgrade
- Armor Aura Glows]

When upgrading your Armor Set consider the the whole of the set and not just the individual
For armor sets to truly shine is when you upgrade all the parts at the same time.
Upgrading to +10 is when your set truly shines!

There are two tiers you can reach with your Item Part upgrade , Green (which is the regular upgrade tier you can upgrade using Sunstones and Scroll of SProtect , you can also use a Scroll of Smelting but only to +7

after reaching +10 with an item that is level300 you can further upgrade that item into a Crystal item using the Crystal NPC , Crystal Upgrade and using Crystal Transformation Stones

when you reach Crystal you will be able to upgrade it again using Crystal Enhance Scrolls and Crystal Enhance Success Scrolls for added success chances
and you will be granted with further stats per each Upgrade Level you achieve ,
this stat is effective per each item part you wear so Allstat +25 , Increased HP +5% x4 = Allstat +100 , Increased Hp +20%

Note
When changing Green equipment to Crystal your upgrade bonus effect will also be reverted back to zero until you can make your set Crystal +10

[Aura Glows]

When reaching a certain amount of set upgrade level such as +3 and above , you will begin to emit an aura glow , you can later modify and customize your upgrade Glow/Type/Color later on

Item set effect glows are more pronounced when u reach a set effect 4/4 of +7 and above

you can also customize your default glow's color via Buffpang Glow Color

or you can also change not only your glow color but also customize your Default Glow Shape Animation and Type
by pressing [B] you can access the ingame System Glow Window and customize your Glow Aura Type (you can avail more cool and detailed glows in Item Mall Aura Tab)

[Piercing 101]

[Requirements and Safe Piercing]
the requirements for piercing is Moonstones and Scroll of GProtect and here in Insanityflyff life is made easier with the help of the Safe Piercing NPC thru [Upgrade Specialist]BoBoChan

you can also buy all sorts of Scrolls of Protects in [Scroll Shop]NPC

[Pierce Goals and Piercing Removal]
When Safe piercing you can set a Pierce Goal in your Safe Piercing GUI and set the maximum of pierce you want , this is specially handy when Piercing suits since their max pierce is 0/4

safe piercing automatically stops when you reach the Pierce Goal and does not consume any more materials

after setting your desired cards in your item using [Right Clicking the Card and then Left Clicking the Item]

There is also a feature that enables you remove your Pierced Card using the [Remove a Pierced Card] function of [Upgrade Specialist]BoBoChan
it follows the Last in First Out Rule , meaning the last thing you put is the first thing that will me taken out

[Weapon and Shield Socket Cards]

in Insanity flyff there is only 5 Types of Weapon/Shield Socket Cards , those being:

•Fire ~ STR
•Water ~ INT
•Electric ~ DEX
•Land ~ STA
•Wind ~ Speed

and has 4 Tiers

(B) ~ (A) ~ (S) ~ (X)


[These Cards can only be Used in Weapons and Shields]
, the effects greatly improve each higher tier you use

[Suit Socket Cards]

another type of card piercing is the Suit Card Piercing , with which will give you immense stats and effects such as Increased Attack% , Increased HP% , Increased MP% and etc. (yes that is Percent %)

There are 5 types of Suit Socket Cards , those being:

•Lightning ~ Increased Attack%
•Volcano ~ Increased HP%
•Ocean ~ Increased MP%
•Vacuum ~ Increased FP%
•Earthquake ~ Increased DEF%


and has 4 Tiers

(4%) ~ (7%) ~ (10%) ~ (12%)

[These Cards can only be Used in Suits]
, the effects greatly improve each higher tier you use
